Christine Speidel is an associate professor and the director of the federal tax clinic at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. She has over 15 years of experience representing low-income individuals in federal tax controversy and collection matters. Her research interests lie at the intersection of poverty law with tax law and tax procedure. Before her appointment at Villanova, Speidel practiced at Vermont Legal Aid in the areas of tax, family law, health law, and public benefits. Speidel is an editor of the book Effectively Representing Your Client Before the IRS and a fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel.
